This dataset contains bryophyte species count data and information about the observers bryophyte expertise for 2332 relevés conducted from 2011 to 2021 on 10-m2 plots in a long-term monitoring program in Switzerland. The dataset was used in the paper mentioned below to fit linear mixed-effects models to test if species richness estimates differed among categories of observer expertise.
